CARRION, the reverse horror, game announced for 2020

Devolver Digital's 'Direct' press conference this year was just as over-the-top as previous years. Perhaps a little lighter on game announcements this time around, however. Never-the-less there was something interesting for Linux gamers: CARRION.

Phobia Game Studio, developers of the game, describe CARRION as a reverse horror game where the player takes on direct control of the monster. The gameplay looks very much like the metroidvania style of exploring levels and improving the monster's abilities with powerups.

The way the monster moves around in the trailer, by grabbing onto walls and objects, gives off a really creepy vibe. This is probably no accident, hats off to the developers for nailing the creepy factor.

CARRION is currently scheduled for release sometime in 2020. Check out the trailer on YouTube or visit the Steam page for more info.
