Steam Proton updates to version 4.2-5

Valve has once again pushed a minor Proton update. The latest version 4.2-5 brings in a couple of nice changes.

The more recent DXVK 1.2.1 has now been pulled into Proton, this update fixes some game breaking issues in a few titles. The number of Windows games that now work in Proton continues to increase which is nothing but good news. There's also some performance fixes which could effect some driver versions.

The Proton release notes also mention "many controller layout fixes". Some games using the Unity engine could have some controller layout issues and these changes should fix those.

Certainly these are some welcome changes and I hope the updates keep coming. What have your experiences been with Proton so far? Leave a comment below.
