Automate your cyberpunk kitchen in Neon Noodles

The self-described 'zach-like' puzzle, simulation game Neon Noodles is out on Steam in early access today. Put your cooking and programming skills to the test by designing the most efficient kitchen possible.

Each stage in Neon Noodles has one, or several, food items as goals and it's up to you to design the whole food preparation process from start to finish. Similar to Overcooked, there are blocks that perform different functions like supplying raw ingredients or working as chopping stations. Blocks can be placed anywhere in the game area so it's really up to you how you want to tackle each puzzle.

After setting up the kitchen, the robot chefs need to be programmed to do the actual work. The commands for the robots are pretty simple because a lot of their actions are contextual based on what type of block they're interacting with. However, the complexity can increase pretty quick with more complicated recipes that require a lot of preparation steps.

At the end of each stage you're able to see how your solution compares to everybody else's, in terms of efficiency. It's a pretty cool feature that adds some replayability to the game.

The cyberpunk/'80s art style is pretty unique for a cooking game and watching the robots chefs do their work is pretty satisfying... when programmed successfully.
