Valve once again took the spotlight in the gaming news sphere with the announcement of Half-Life: Alyx, a new VR-only game set between Half-Life 1 and 2. Unfortunately, no Linux support was included in the original announcement. Some have reported Linux was not shown because the minimum specs are not yet finalized, but I'll believe it when I see it. DXVK 1.4.5 was release this past week. It features an improvement for Nvidia users by enabling a feature that previously caused crashes. Multithreaded efficiency was also increased which may provide a benefit in games that are CPU-bottlenecked.

Fans of Zachtronics now have something new to enjoy. MOLEK-SYNTEZ was officially released this week after some time in early access. Zachtronics are prolific developers of in-depth puzzle and logic games. This time, you'll be combining molecules in different ways to create pharmaceuticals with the desired effect.

AMD GPU users out there have something to look forward to. According to Phoronix benchmarks, Linux kernel 5.4 brings some decent performance improvements to existing cards. It also adds support for some newer AMD cards and APUs.
