Spring Falls is a relaxing puzzle experience

A new indie puzzle game, Spring Falls, has just landed on Steam today. It has an interesting premise whereby the player must move hex columns in order to direct the flow of water. The idea being to 'water' the grass and eventually get it to spread to the flowers and get them to bloom.

The gameplay starts off fairly straight-forward but slowly ramps up in difficulty as more mechanics get introduced in later levels. There's definitely a few head-scratchers later in the game.

The visuals and the background music in Spring Falls all work together to create a relaxing atmosphere. It uses calming pastel colours and many of the levels have rain, which effects gameplay but also adds to the comfy mood. Watching the water flow between hexes also has a strangely calming effect.

The game isn't super long; with only 60 levels it can be beaten in a few hours. But if you're looking for a no-frills puzzle experience, Spring Falls does a nice job.

Spring Falls is available on Steam.
